At Teach Away (we’re like a dating site, but for teachers and schools around the world...and for jobs, not dates…but enough about us), we’re looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to play a key role in supporting our growth in 2019...and beyond 🚀. We’ve got a pretty big mission on our hands (solving the global teacher shortage) and we need a digital marketing whizz who can help us go further and get there faster.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager/CEO, the successful candidate will help us devise and execute on innovative digital marketing strategies that attract, convert and engage a community of educators and fuel growth for our global brand. While this is a great opportunity for an intermediate digital marketer, we’re really looking for someone with a desire to learn and grow, who’s curious in nature and willing to dive into new marketing projects headfirst (promise we’ll supply you with a helmet first).

We obviously don’t expect you to change the world all by yourself. But we’re committed to changing the world one great teacher at a time and we want a Digital Marketing Specialist who thinks similarly.

Here's what we need you to bring to the table (we’ll bring the cookies 🍪):

  • You’re a doer. Experience with implementing pretty much all aspects of digital marketing campaign development, from strategy to execution, including using and maintaining marketing automation platforms (e.g. Hubspot) and creating and testing web and landing pages (e.g. Unbounce) - you’ve been there, done that!

  • You’re highly creative. You have a canny ability to identify target audiences and create custom marketing campaigns across all the usual channels (organic, paid, social media, we could go on but we’re preaching to the choir here) to inform, engage and inspire our teachers (and future teachers!)

  • You have a growth mindset. Investigating and identifying new marketing channels to test, learn, optimize and drive scalable growth is kinda your jam.

  • You’re an optimizer. You love squeezing out every last percentage point of opportunity in every campaign and initiative you’ve worked on!

  • You’re data obsessed (to the point where it’s just a bit weird, really). You’re all about making data-driven decisions, using different analytical tools to understand the outcome of your campaigns. Not only that, you can also analyze results to draw key insights and action on them as well.

  • You have a take-charge attitude. You’re an independent thinker with the ability to take initiative and a self-starter who can successfully work through ambiguity (sometimes we find this whole marketing shebang a little confusing, which is why we need you!)

  • Team player might just be your middle name. Nothing great was ever created in a vacuum and you need to be able to tap in and out of other teams. We’re a growing company, with lots of wiggle room and we share projects across multiple departments. You’ll get to work with our Design, Product, Sales and Tech teams, to name but a few!

Bonus points for:

  • Video creation skills!

  • International travel experience

  • A background or experience in education, teaching or recruitment

  • Experience in conversion or growth marketing tactics
